Ahem.
Perhaps just a bit carried away in the past couple of weeks with interlibrary loans, book purchases, and even a very generous loan of an impossibly rare title (thank you Kathy!). On the other hand, you can see that I was paying attention to the "possibly FM" suggestions (among other things)...
Hopefully, you'll be hearing more about many of these soon. Meanwhile, to those in the U.S., have a lovely Thanksgiving! You can guess what I'll be doing in between holiday festivities...

NOTE: The comment function on Blogger is notoriously cranky. If you're having problems, try selecting "Name/URL" or "Anonymous" from the "Comment as" drop-down (be sure to "sign" your comment, though, so I know who dropped by). Some people also find it easier using a browser like Firefox or Chrome instead of Internet Explorer.
But it can still be a pain, and if you can't get any of that to work, please email me at furrowed.middlebrow@gmail.com. I do want to hear from you!

What a pile! Fantastic! I'm ready to get reading on some enticing pre-Jan-release titles DSP have so kindly sent me!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy them, Liz!
DeleteI'll bet the impossibly rare one is the Margery Sharp! I have a friend who has been looking for that one for ages. What a great stack--happy reading!
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, that's not the case! RH is certainly impossible to find for purchase without a great deal of luck, but it was actually an ordinary interlibrary loan, with several possible lending libraries no less! The impossible title is the Dorothea Townshend--more to come about that soon, I hope!
DeleteIt's lovely to see another copy of Rhododendron Pie finding a good home!
ReplyDeleteAlas, only a library copy, Jane, but it's a lovely one to have on my shelves for a few weeks!
DeleteMay I just please be obvious and even a tad crass, and say, my goodness, Scott, aren't you well stacked!
ReplyDeleteOUCH! Sorry.
BUT - that pile of reads looks so enticing! I think almost anyone could find something (or more than one!) to read and enjoy!
Best to you both for a lovely Thanksgiving!
Tom
Thanks Tom! Hope you enjoyed your holiday as well!
DeleteThanksgiving Day good wishes to all. I am thankful for books, friends who love books including those I have met in person and those I know only from the internet, and all the lovely folks who are causing lost or nearly lost book treasures to be re-issued, published, etc especially those in both paper book and eBook formats. Scott, you count in several of the above categories.
ReplyDeleteThanks, and I am trying not to be envious of your book stack.
Jerri
Thanks, Jerri! I'm certainly grateful for loyal readers like yourself, not to mention valuable sources of information and of impossible-to-find books!
