It seems like a wonderful, varied collection of books and I hope you have fun shelving and reading them. I think it's just as well that travelling to San Francisco for a book sale is not a viable option for me. I can't remember the details, but it was obviously written by someone with a great knowledge of the antiques business, and that alone made it interesting. There is also an old film of the book, which funnily enough I have recorded, so will now have to watch it to refresh my memory!Michelle Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07499490029910905577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5595702824833504762.post-87882044702871278402017-09-25T08:38:36.028-07:002017-09-25T08:38:36.028-07:00http://www.ruthsuckow.org/ Lots of info about Rut...http://www.ruthsuckow.org/ Lots of info about Ruth Suckow. I found three of her books at Babbitt's Books in Normal, Illinois two years ago, The Folks, New Hope, and one other that escapes me right now. They are on the TBR shelf alas. Need more time to read! Of course I'd have to pay for them to be carried to the UK too. And then there'd be the cost of an extension to put them in. Or maybe a whole new house... I can't say I loved it, but I found it haunting and interesting and worthwhile. I bought the Bloomsbury reissue eBook when it was on sale for $2.50 or so. I think you will enjoy. I haven't read anything else by this author.

JerriAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
